Graduate Showcase 2018

Each year the University of Portsmouth produce a book to celebrate the achievements and showcase the work of the Graphic Design graduates. I was asked to design a cover which captured the spirit of Portsmouth whilst being celebratory and beautiful in its own right. The design is a layered tapestry of subtle symbolism, steeped in meaning and purpose for our students and the city. The cover was designed to be displayed in large numbers through repetition and careful pattern alignment the books combine and transform into a elaborate array of stars.
